Argentina can be quite warm during the summer months. This was certainly the case for us as we arrived in Buenos Aires during their summer. However, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that pretty much every main street and most side streets throughout the great country of Argentina are lined with trees.
Now, this is certainly the case in some of the major streets in some of the major cities in the U.S., however this was the case in almost every city and every street in Argentina. For some of the other major civil planning flaws that Argentina has, they certainly nailed this one.
Not only did these trees add a beauty to the cityscape as you walked through, but they added a very desirable amount of shade and rescue from the heat, and I would imagine a nice shelter from the rain as well.
Even our home town of Seattle, the "Evergreen City" couldn't contend with the quantity of trees on street in Argentina. From the Metropolis of B.A. to the slow, remote mountain town of Cachi, we experienced this in every city we visited.
Below are some examples from the various the cities we visited

I just put this in here to see if you were still paying attention ;) |
Until next time, amigos!
